  • Consent includes permission for publication of identifiable information or images.

  • Participants are fully informed about the nature and purpose of the research.

  • Consent records are retained and made available upon request.

Privacy and Confidentiality

The data and information of individuals, including information obtained through a doctor–patient relationship, must be handled with the highest levels of confidence and discretion. Personal information should not be disclosed unless essential for scientific purposes and written consent has been obtained.

Authors should ensure that:

  • Participant privacy and confidentiality are protected.

  • Personal identifiers are removed wherever possible.

  • Identifiable information is published only with explicit written consent.

Editorial Responsibility

The Editorial Office may request evidence of informed consent during the editorial or peer-review process. Manuscripts that fail to meet the journal's informed consent and confidentiality requirements may be rejected in accordance with COPE and ICMJE recommendations.
