Conflicts of Interest Policy

Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest

The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence the preparation, review, or publication of a manuscript.

Conflicts of interest may include:

  • Financial relationships or funding support.

  • Employment or institutional affiliations.

  • Consultancy or advisory roles.

  • Personal or professional relationships.

  • Patents or commercial interests.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must include a Conflict of Interest Statement in their manuscript. If no competing interests exist, authors should clearly state that "The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest." All funding sources and the role of the funding organization, if any, should also be disclosed.

Editors and Reviewers

Editors and reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality. Individuals with a conflict should decline to review or handle the manuscript to ensure an independent and unbiased editorial process.

Editorial Responsibility

The Editorial Office may request additional disclosures where necessary. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts of interest may result in manuscript rejection, correction, or retraction in accordance with the recommendations of COPE and ICMJE. The journal is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and integrity throughout the publication process.
