The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. Where significant errors are identified that do not invalidate the overall findings of a published article, the journal may publish a Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum). All corrections are clearly linked to the original article to ensure transparency.
Corrections may be issued for:
Errors in author information or affiliations.
Errors in figures, tables, or references.
Minor factual or typographical mistakes.
Other inaccuracies that do not affect the study's conclusions.
A published article may be retracted if there is clear evidence that its findings are unreliable due to research misconduct, major errors, or serious ethical violations. Retractions are carried out in accordance with the recommendations of COPE and ICMJE to preserve the integrity of the scientific record.
Retraction may occur in cases of:
Plagiarism or duplicate publication.
Data fabrication or falsification.
Image manipulation.
Unethical research practices.
Major errors affecting the validity of the findings.
All requests for corrections and retractions are reviewed carefully by the Editorial Office. Where appropriate, the journal may also issue an Expression of Concern while an investigation is underway. Appropriate editorial action will be taken in accordance with COPE and ICMJE guidance to maintain the accuracy and credibility of the published literature.
