Higher education institutions are experiencing unprecedented changes driven by technological advancements, globalization, policy reforms, demographic shifts, and evolving stakeholder expectations. Effective change management has become essential for universities and colleges seeking to remain competitive, innovative, and sustainable in the twenty-first century. This study investigates the role of change management in higher education, focusing on strategies, challenges, leadership practices, and institutional outcomes associated with organizational transformation. A mixed-method research design was employed involving 600 participants, including university administrators, faculty members, support staff, and students from multiple higher education institutions. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression modeling, while qualitative insights were obtained through interviews and focus group discussions. Findings indicate that effective leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, and organizational culture significantly influence successful change implementation. Resistance to change, resource limitations, and communication barriers remain major obstacles. The study concludes that strategic change management frameworks can enhance institutional adaptability, innovation, and educational effectiveness.
