Remote learning has emerged as a critical educational approach, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling continuity of education despite physical restrictions. However, rural communities face unique challenges that hinder effective participation in remote learning environments. This study investigates the barriers affecting remote learning in rural areas, including technological limitations, inadequate infrastructure, socioeconomic disparities, digital literacy gaps, and pedagogical challenges. Using a mixed-method research design involving 600 students, 120 teachers, and 80 parents from rural communities, the study explores factors influencing learning outcomes and educational accessibility. Findings reveal that poor internet connectivity, limited access to digital devices, inadequate teacher training, and financial constraints significantly impact student engagement and academic performance. The study recommends policy interventions, infrastructure development, community support systems, and innovative educational models to promote equitable access to quality education. The research contributes to ongoing discussions regarding digital inclusion and sustainable educational development in rural settings.
